My career has taken me all over the country and to a variety of other countries too. While my travel schedule is extensive I still manage to find (or create) time to spend at home and enjoy life.
As an avid road cyclist in high school and college, I rekindled my love of bicycles in 2012. Even during the busy fall semester I find time to average over 100 miles a week in the saddle. In 2016 a new obsession was discovered and I added a mountain bike to my ever growing collection of two-wheelers. Cycling, kayaking, hiking, I love the outdoors! In many ways the sound of the tires on the pavement or the peace of the woods while on the trails is my form of meditation.
It is my love of animals, however, where you can find the essence of my soul. My home is only complete with a cat or three, and the most important companion, a basset hound or two. Walter, Buford, Della-Ware, and CJ all knew the love of the Sarver household. In September of 2017 a new basset arrived: a puppy named Rapscallion’s Biden My Time n’Money. (Yes, I call him Joe!) And in December of 2022 a second puppy took up residency: named Calvin.
Two bassets and two cats (yes, one is named Hobbes) are enough to keep me busy to say the least. Their antics are well known to those who follow me on social media. Suffice it to say that they are all perpetual toddlers.
