These are a few books that I have looked to over the years for a battery charge of sorts. We are in a career that has us burning the candle all at once as if it were on a rotisserie. Because of this it is very important to take a break and enjoy life! At the same time there are lots of books out there that pertain to what we do and can give us a fresh outlook on things. Some deal with teaching music, conducting and performing while others explore the philosophy of music, of teaching and of simply being. Some are easy reading and some take a little bit of effort but are worth the investment in the long run.
